Advertising and Sponsorship Policy
Last updated: November 2025
FOLO-UP focuses on product safety and consumer protection. Any advertising, sponsorship, or promotional content that appears on our sites must be consistent with this purpose.
How advertising may appear
From time to time, we may work with sponsors, partners, or supporters. This may include:
- logos or badges shown on category or partner pages
- pages describing partner projects, research, or campaigns
- clearly labelled sponsored content or case studies
We do not sell user-specific targeted advertising based on personal profiles or unsafe product reports.
Separation of editorial and commercial activity
Our monitoring of unsafe products and our reporting tools are designed to support public safety. We keep editorial and analytical decisions separate from any commercial or sponsorship arrangements.
- we do not allow sponsors to influence whether a product is flagged as unsafe
- we do not accept advertising for products or services that we reasonably believe to be unsafe or misleading
- any sponsored content will be clearly identified as such
Partner logos and compliance badges
FOLO-UP may display logos from regulators, professional bodies, or businesses that participate in safety initiatives or compliance schemes. This does not mean we are endorsing all of their products or services, and we will make clear where content is:
- informational (for example, explaining a standard or recall)
- collaborative (for example, a joint project or pilot)
- commercial (for example, paid sponsorship or support)
Complaints about advertising or sponsorship
If you believe any advertising, sponsorship, or logo on FOLO-UP is misleading or inconsistent with our safety mission, please contact us and we will review it.
